Have you ever seen an upside-down tree?
Lord Krishna, in the Bhagavad Gita describes one such tree –the Ashvatta tree or what is popularly known as the Peepul tree. However, this tree is a powerful allegory of the entire spiritual concept of the relationship between God, the creator, and Man and all of the manifest universe, the creation.
Pujya Swami Shantanandaji (President of Chinmaya Mission West and Resident Swamiji of Chinmaya Tristate Center NY/NJ/PA), renowned for his scholarship, and depth of vedantic knowledge, will take us on a journey to explore this relationship through Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 15, Yoga of the Supreme Spirit.
Through this chapter, we will go on a journey from the known to the unknown. The known being the world of objects around us, and the unknown – the Supreme Consciousness. Through flawless logic, the Lord will show us that “No effect can be without a cause” thus leading us through the journey to the unknown and the unseen.
