COVID- 19 Relief Fund    #BoundToEachother

Every fall we raise funds for the needy either in our local communities or in India via the CMB walk/run. This year due to the COVID-19 situation, we have decided to start fundraising earlier. Several communities are in need of help. If each one of us supports as many individuals possible in different sectors in our local communities, our home, we would together be able to uplift the situation a bit. For that purpose, we have chosen 2 charities that serve in our neighborhoods.

Merrimack Valley Food Bank
Since 1991, the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, Inc. (MVFB) has been heavily involved in transporting, storing and distributing food to the disadvantaged members of the community. They have evolved over the years from serving 6 agencies to providing food to more than 50,000 individuals a month in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.
They partner with 120 nonprofit agencies, including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and meal programs. Presently, there has been an increase in the need to serve an additional tens of thousands of individuals who have been disproportionately affected due to the crisis. Our donations will help directly serve the needy in the local community of the Merrimack Valley in this period.

Lowell General Hospital
Lowell General Hospital (LGH) is a not-for-profit community hospital serving the Greater Lowell area and surrounding communities. Its two primary campuses, Main and Saints, are located in Lowell, Massachusetts. With the mission of putting patients first, the Lowell General Hospital provides a full range of medical and surgical services for patients, from newborns to seniors.
A financial contribution to the Lowell General Hospital will support its most urgent needs. The healthcare workers, first responders and other essential workers have been working very hard and any help provided will support the immediate needs of the entire workforce. In addition, donations will also help them procure medical and protective equipment needed in this demanding period.
