In 1951, Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda took the first step of his “journey of a thousand miles”, a divine mission to spread the knowledge of the Upanishads and the Bhagawad Gītā to one and all. The year 2026 marks the 75th anniversary of this global force for spiritual upliftment and is being celebrated worldwide as the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav.

Chinmaya Mission Boston will have it’s grand celebration on Sunday May 10, 2026 starting at 9 AM with the main event being the 108 Samashthi Hanuman Chalisa Havan. This will be conducted at the Chinmaya Maruti Ashram at 1 Union Street in Andover and will be set up for multiple families to perform the Chalisa Havan simultaneously with the main Havan. Our goal is to have every Chinmaya Boston family perform the Hanuman Chalisa Havan. Through the power of collective chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa 108+ times, we will invoke Shri Hanumanji’s blessings for universal peace and happiness.

In addition, there will be cultural activities happening in the Pavitra auditorium. We are planning for 300+ families to perform the Hanuman Chalisa Havan and it will be a wonderful time for families and the entire community to come together!
