Learn Gita (Vocabulary)

The competition will be held at Chinmaya Andover Center located on 1 Union Street, Andover, MA 01810 on Sunday, June 7th. 2026. 

Please register again even if you had previously registered indicating the test session you will be taking. Last date to register is May 16^th, 2026.

The test will be administered in three sessions 1- 8.30 AM ,  2 – 11:45 AM  & 3 -1 PM due to BV and language classes that happen that day.

Learn GITA Vocabulary quiz will be held in-person and proctored by a volunteer.

Showcase your understanding of the meaning of the words in Chapter 12 of Bhagavad Gita – भक्तियोगः ( bhaktiyogaḥ )

 Grade 7 – 12 – Vocabulary List – Varaha Group (Grades 7 – 12)

GITA YUVA TALKS: For Grades: 10 – 12 – State level

Speakers are requested to talk for 5 minutes on a selected topic from the list below. Speakers should be prepared to answer questions on the topic of their presentation.

Qualified speakers from the State Final Competition will be emailed a zoom meeting link with the assigned time, prior to the event. Yuva Talks will be conducted on Sep 5, 2026.

TOPICS FOR YUVA TALKS

1. Turn your emotions into inner strength, by practising the yoga of devotion
2. Find a steady anchor in a turbulent world, by practising the yoga of devotion.
3. Elevate Your Self, by practising the five guiding truths from bhagavad-gītā. (GITA pañchāmrit)

Learning resources to study and understand the Meaning of chapter 12 will be published in the upcoming weeks.

Date for these talks will be confirmed based on registrants and judges availability. Tentatively it is scheduled for PM of June 7^th, 2026 in Chinmaya Mission Andover Center.
